We, the Christian missionary movement Kontaktmission, have a large network of co-workers in Ukraine and Eastern Europe for years. Together with other partners, helpers and relief organizations, we try to limit the suffering. Thanks to our close contact with the people on site, we are able to deliver and distribute aid supplies and evacuate people from the war zones.

  • Do you have a vacant apartment? Or can you offer a room in your household? Could someone stay with you for a week or do you have the possibility to accommodate a whole family or even group for a longer time? No matter how much capacity for how long you can offer, anything can be helpful.

  • Can you help transport refugees? Do you have a car or maybe even a bus? Tell us how many seats you have available and also if you have child seats. Then we can get in touch with you if your offer meets a need.

  • With your donation you enable the transport and care of refugees. First and foremost, we want to evacuate people from heavily contested areas and feed them in the transhipment camps. We want to help prevent a humanitarian catastrophe, with food already too scarce in Ukraine.

  • We regularly receive specific prayer requests through our employees. Together with you, we want to storm heaven and stand up for every individual in need. You can pray for the more general requests here on the website or register in our email distribution list and be up to date with individual fates.

  • For our outreach, only large quantities of dry and shelf-stable foods, such as pasta, rice, or canned goods, are helpful. If you can provide that, that's a big help!

  • • For the solidarity and helpfulness of many people (materially, financially, practically).

    • For the commitment of many Christians directly in Ukraine (supply, driving services, support, church services, accompaniment, care).

    • For the provision of many needed resources (shelter, medical care, food and other essentials such as hygiene items, beds....).

    • For a greater international prayer movement regarding this tense situation.

    • For the welcoming culture of many neighboring countries and the care of the refugees.

  • • Many families and individuals need concrete means and opportunities to leave war zones (finances, train tickets, transportation).

    • Shelters and contact points for initial care.

    • Uncomplicated formalities for entry into neighboring countries.

    • Preservation on the (often "adventurous") escape routes, physical strength and health.

    • Political negotiation possibilities to pacify the country.

  • At the moment we invest mainly in transport and accommodation, if you have either of these, please fill out the form and register with it in our helper database. What is urgently needed are donations with which we can finance relief actions.

  • Any accommodation is good and better than in a war zone. Just indicate your accommodation offer in the form. We will clarify the details with you when the need arises.

  • Behind Emergency Relief Ukraine is a coordination team of Contact Mission staff. Please send an email to nothilfe-ukraine@kontaktmission.org. Currently we receive a lot of inquiries and try to answer all of them as soon as possible.

  • 1. The transfer of refugees from contested areas to safe places is particularly important. Transport and care on the run are currently a priority.

    2. The supply of refugees in Ukraine is also an important concern for us. Food is becoming scarce and a humanitarian disaster is looming.

    3. Picking up refugees at the border and providing them with shelter and food afterwards.
